Forestry Ministry, Zulkifli Hasan in his working visit before New Year in Bali is scheduled release turtle babies at Kuta Beach area.
“Turtle babies that will be released in that international tourisms site is planned for about 30 turtle babies,” said the head of Bali Forestry Department, Ir. Anak Agung Ngurah Buana, MM in Denpasar on Wednesday.

He said that the Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan and his group as soon as they arrived at Ngurah Rai airport would go straightly to Kuta Beach located four kilometer from the airport to proceeds the turtle babies’ event.

This is his second time into Bali since the second Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu intitated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono last October. His first visit was on December 14th to arrange the development of Kesatuan Pengelelolaan Hutan (KPH) nationally which centralized at Taman Hutan Raya Ngurah Rai.

Today he supported Bali Governor policy that allowed breeding turtle for religion ritual complement.
“The policy went through by Bali Governor is very good, middle road solution to reach ever party expectation,” he said.
Breeding turtle utilization for the needs of Bali cultural and ritual activity is hoped would not disturbing the development of that protected animal that it’s population in their habitat becoming rare. The minister also wishes for the turtle-breeding site in Bali will keep develops along the shore.

The breeding result besides for ritual needs some of them will be release into the sea with an expectation that it will help their population in their own habitat.

Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika in utilizing turtle as one complement for Hindu’s religious ritual in Bali is referring to Bhisama (order) Parisadha Hindu Dharma Indonesia, the highest Hindu council.
According to the head of Public Relation Firm and Setda Bali Province Protocol, I Putu Suardhika, SH, MM, Bhisama central PHDI Number 05/Bhisama/Sabha Pandita PHDIP/VIII/2005 which arrange the utilization procedure of scarce biological resource or almost extinct.
It is about the utilization of turtle or turtle baby from breeding result and not by catching them from the sea or from their habitat.

That turtle utilization for religious complement also should followed by an effort in multiplying turtle babies discharge into their habitat wished for their proliferation as well as raise their population in their habitat.
