Bali provincial government suggested to the central government for the development of international fish port in Bali. This is due to the compliances for our fish export into international marketing.

Head of Provincial Marine and Fishery Department, I Gusti Putu Nuriartha state that international fish port in Bali is indispensable, considering Bali stand as one of the exporter area for fish production in Indonesia especially tuna.

Whilst, that international port development is hoped will give social and economic effect toward Bali’s people as well as Bali’s regional income escalation.

“Especially taking part in contributing agriculture and fishery sector in order to develop Bali economy that is merely 19.06 percent nowadays,” said I Gusti Putu Nuriartha.

Nuriartha also said that averagely the export value of Bali fish production in its complete number reached 98 million of American dollar with 33.000 tons volume export.

Besides Bali also exported living fish especially adorn fish for about 8 million fishes per year.
