Health Department of Bali Province remind the people to keep aware with the spreading of dengue fever in the beginning of raining season this year.

According to the Bali’s Health Department record, the raising of dengue fever in this God’s Island followed three years period, in this year predicted will be escalation for this disease.

“We remind for the people to keep aware as well as applied clean and healthy life pattern around their house,” said the Head of Bali Health Department, dr Nyoman Sutedja on Friday.

He said that according to the data in 2007 Bali recorded 3.300 dengue fever case, and decrease in 2008 as it merely 2.700 cases.

Meanwhile a year ago, that is in 2009 where there were 2.100 cases mostly happened in Denpasar and Badung, he said.
He explained, though in this late three years the dengue fever case get decrease but people should keep aware toward this disease.

“We asked for the people keep beware so the three years period will not happen again in Bali,” said Sutedja.
Sutedja confessed that in dengue fever in Bali usually get raise in February until May.

“This due to the beginning of raining season,” he said.

When asked about their preventing effort, he said that the most effective way in averting dengue fever spreading through the eradication of mosquito nests.

The eradication can be done through massive spraying or with drained, buried and closed holes that could be used by the mosquitoes for it nests.

Besides, when people get accustom with clean and healthy life concept as well as keep their surround environment clean is the most effective way in preventing dengue fever.

Through that steps, Sutedja continued, certainly that three years threatening Bali will not happen anymore.
