Australian Tourist Increase

Australian tourist visiting Bali is for about 398.787 for eleven months period of January to November 2009 and raised 39.05 percent compared with the same period last year that merely 286.796 people.

“Most of them came to Bali through Ngurah Rai Airport through the aircraft straightly from their country. Merely 862 people came through sea port with cruise boat,” said the Head of Bali Central Statistic Department, Ida Komang Wisnu in Denpasar on Sunday.

He said that Australian stand at the top compared with the other ten countries of tourist largest supplier into Bali, with 18.44 percent contribution from total amount of tourist in Bali that was 2.16 million people during the first eleven months of 2009.

Abroad tourist visiting Bali raised 13.31 percent compared with the same period last year that was 1.90 million people.

Ida Komang Wisnu also added that Australian and Japan always competes in occupying first and second rank in contributing their largest tourist visited Bali.

“As far as the Australian thought Bali as their second home since almost every year they choose Bali as their safe, comfortable and interesting holiday destination,” said Ida Komang Wisnu.

Ida Komang Wisnu explained, from ten largest country of tourist supplier into Bali, six of them get increase significantly and the other four were decrease.

Those six countries except Australia are China for about 58.93 percent, Malaysia with 5.99 percent, France with 47.23 percent, England with 12.44 percent, Holand with 21.34 percent and 12.89 percent for other countries.

Four countries that get decrease are the 4.51 percent for Japan, South Korea for 7.31 percent, eight percent for Taiwan and 4,20 percent for Germany, said Ida Komang Wisnu.
