Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika sent a letter to four cabinet ministers concerning the closure of Ngurah Rai airport and four seaports during the Balinese New Year which falls on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.

“The letter had been sent to the Minister of Transportation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Home Affair and the Minister of Communication and Information, dated December 29, 2009” said the Head of the Bali Transportation, Information and Communication Agency, I Made Santa on Monday.

It copies had also been sent to all the government private institutions on Bali Island to support the success of 24-hour implementation of the “Tapa Brata Penyepian” starting from 6 am on March 16, 2010 to 4 pm the following day.

Made Santha said the governor’s circular no 003.2/22488/DPIK has been disseminated by Ngurah Rai airport since early in the morning to all foreign as well as domestic airline companies.
