Preparations for Sun Princess Cruise
Bali tourism should clean themselves in order to welcomes Sun Princess Cruises, that is a luxury cruise with the total number of passenger for 2.342 people, not included 814 ship crews, that is scheduled will stop by at the Island of God on May 2010.
The cleaning especially with those related to the readiness of Benoa port infrastructure and supporter facilities, transportation preparation from the port to various destinations and more, as it is been said by the head of Diklat Division of DPD SIPCO (Society Indonesia Professional Congress Organizer) Bali, Ni Made Eka Mahadewi in Denpasar on Sunday.
That thing as delivered by Ni Made Eka Mahadewi quoted the Directorate General Marketing of Tourism and Cultural Ministry meeting in the governor office recently with all regents in Bali, range of tourism stakeholders, Transportation Division, and varied of institution related with the pier construction.
This year also Bali will visited by other cruises, that is P&O Australia with 22 visiting bring about 32.692 passengers, 28 visiting from Costa Crociere with 28. 572 people and Seabourn with four visiting and 1.298 passengers.
A plan considering numbers of cruises arrival while bring thousands of passengers will rise number of foreigners visiting to this island significantly in which had been more than two million tourists in 2009.
According to Eka Mahadewi, from that meeting conveyed that the cruise passengers which aims to Indonesia required to stop by at Bali as its main destination.
Lami from Monaco cruise management in this occasion reminded the government and Bali people to work together in preparing themselves especially in term of seaport readiness suits big size cruise.
Bali has Benoa Port, Padang Bali and Tanah Ampo port that are under preparation. But what most urgent to do is the finishing of Benoa Port development as the place for the cruises to dock that will stop by in 2010.
From tourism point of view, those tourists arrival through the seaport lot of things should be fulfilled, besides the ship capacity at the port as the berth, there is also toilet facilities, clean water, transportation and banquet.
Besides, there is also oil ship preparation, entertainment, souvenir and service due to their visiting in Bali, added Eka Mahadewi.
