Bali Tourism Promotional Material Evaluation
Industry judged for the material promotion for Bali tourism in 2010 needs regular evaluation, appropriate with the world tourism trend and marketing that gradually change.
“Evaluation is needed when we entering draft making step, and not all of promotional material will be the same with last year,” said Vice Head of Bali Tourism Board (BTB) Promotional and Marketing division, Herdy D. Sayoga in Denpasar on Tuesday.
He observed, 2010 promotional material established by the government could not change anymore, instead of the fact that some changing is needed in order to gain wider marketing potential.
“All the material had been decided by the government. But agency party will delivered it in writing,” said Herdy in the middle of Diparda Bali meeting.
According to him, promotion material should be adjusted with the target segment. Promotional material for journalist eventually will have different appearance with promotional material for the consumers and will different too in “wholesaler” or big agents all around world tourism marketing areas.
“We should clear this thing first, which marketing area we want to work on,” he said.
Herdy explained, Bali in 1930 is a general tourism destination. But, today, this Island of God had went through segmentation transformation.
“Our tourism concept is culture. But we should realize that Bali has already becomes tourism destination for ‘MICE’ as well as ‘Wedding’ that needs different package without leaving the main concept,” he said.
However, Herdy stated that a commitment to keep supporting the promotion settled by the government.
“We try to maximize the tourism promotional material from the government,” he asserted.
