Badung Tourism Promotion into Korea and England
Head of Badung Tourism Agency, Made Subawa said that his party will promoting tourism promotion abroad precisely to South Korea and London, England.
“This year we will promote our tourism into Korea and England since both countries have great potential becoming the tourists in Bali especially in Badung,” said Made Subawa at Mangupura, Badung regency, Bali, Wednesday.
He said that Europe people is very delight with natural and cultural tourism activity thus make this promotion to that country is not excessive at all. Moreover, tourism object potential they wish for is all has already in Bali.
“There (London) lots of Europe people from varied countries gathered makes tourism promotion to that kingdom country would trigger their interest to visit Bali,” he said.
Head of Badung Tourism Promotion Division, Dewa Sumitro said that the fund for this year tourism promotion has been decreased. In 2009, there are in total IDR 3.5 billion of fund for Badung tourism promotion but his year there is only IDR 3.1 billion.
It decreased since this year there is only two countries we’ll visit while there were four countries last year,” he said.
He also added that four countries visited for 2009 tourism promotion were China, Japan, Italia and England.
Based on the data at Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Bali – Statistic Center Bureau – it is revealed that Chinese people visiting Bali increase significantly even able to replace Japan position some time ago.
Dewa Sumitro said that promotion in 2009 has a relationship with what happened this year. “It is proved by our visit to China last year comes to fruition this year,” he added.
According to him, China curiosity visited expo is always high. At every Badung government expo abroad, Chinese always asked for tourism potential objects in Bali as well as other countries in the world.
For Korean aimed in June 2010, Dewa Sumitro said that their marketing field is Asian. Meanwhile for domestic promotion they would do it at Jakarta, Surabaya and Batam.
