Before the working meeting held with ministers and governors all around Indonesia at Tampak Siring palace, Gianyar, Monday (April 19), President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono took an opportunity to observe two hotels as the location for the high conference accommodations of ASEAN in 2011 and APEC in 2013. The president who accompanied by some ministers, head of Indonesian Republic Police and National Army Commandant to conduct the observation on Sunday (April 18) in the morning.

Bali governor, I Made Mangku Pastika, Badung Regent A.A. Gde Agung and head of Badung Council, I Made Sumer as the host also accompanied the group. Two hotels visited were Ayana Resort and Spa Bali in Jimbaran and The Westin Resort in Nusa Dua. In that occasion, the president observed the preparation of the hotel parties as well as their accommodation provision including within it is rooms supply.

In that occasion, the president hope for Badung regional government as the host of this international scale event could give their full support. “Mr. President asked for the government for their full support such as security, environment condition, hygiene as well as infrastructure arrangement as for road and garden,” Gde Agung explained.

Gde Agung who at the same time actually attending his inaugural campaign as regent candidate stating his readiness to fully support ASEAN high conference estimated will be conduct around November 2011 and APEC in 2013. “Of course we could fully support that activity with preparing for software and every single thing to support the event,” said Gde Agung. Moreover, said Gde Agung, international world trust for Indonesia, Bali and especially Badung will affect the tourism image in Badung.

Before the president’s visit, precisely after the inauguration of Mangupura as Badung capitol city, Minister of Internal Affair Gamawan Fauzi as accompanied by Governor Mangku Pastika and Regent Gde Agung had visited first several objects and hotels in relation with ASEAN and APEC preparation. At that time, Gde Agung Regent give recommendation concerning several locations as the place for that two events.
