Vice President Boediono scheduled to open international conference “Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation (ATBC) 2010” in Sanur Bali, on Wednesday.

Head of steering committee for ATBC 2010 Dr. Adi Basukriadi in Sanur, Wednesday said that this year meeting will be held up to July 23, 2010 and will be followed by 900 participants from 60 countries in the world.

“We had already scheduled Mr. Vice President Boediono to open this ATBC international conference,” he said.

Numerous world scientists, activists and environmental observer, especially those who focus on conservation and biodiversity issue also would attend this meeting.

ATBC is the oldest and the biggest profession organization in department of biology and tropical environment conservation.

This year ATBC 2010 raised a theme “Tropical biodiversity: surviving the food, energy and climate crisis”.

Some informant competent in their respective field will become the spoke person in this occasion; among them is Michael Donoghue from Yale University of Ecology and Biology Evolution Department in United State.

The key spoke persons are Charlie Veron, former scientists head of Australian Institute of Marine Sciences and Kathy MacKinnon, former Lead Biodiversity Specialist in Environment Department of World Bank.
