RRI Creative Festival Preserving Local Culture
Director of RRI Program and Production Public Broadcasting, Nining Supratmanto invited young generation to loves their local culture whilst keep accepting the modern technology.
When opened “RRI creative festival” yesterday, on Sunday, at Wantilan Laksana Budaya in Singaraja, Nining Supratmanto said that the next generation should be able to preserve their culture in the middle of inevitable technology advance.
RRI is a public broadcasting institution which one of its responsibility is act as the adhesive for preserving national culture as well as one of the electronic media in this republic. Since last year, this institution had held “RRI Creative Festival” that targeting the young generation.
Through this activity, performed in term of artwork variation such as animation competition, creation dance, local song creation, they expected could become the creative young generation who are never stop to learn, said the director of RRI Program and Production Public Broadcasting institution.
Creative Event in several regions has proved could dig cultural potential from the young generation in term of handicraft, creative movement and dance, and it was realized in Singaraja Buleleng, Bali, she said.
Buleleng Regent represented by head of Buleleng Information and Communication Agency, Gede Ariasa welcomed well RRI initial channeling, digging people interest especially the youth to creative pursuit for progress in order to viewing the better future.
According to him, the RRI program in preserving local culture is in accordance with Buleleng Government program so the regent is totally appreciating what have been done by RRI so far as educational, information and education media.
Moreover the regent wish for the touching event involving young generation into a positive acts to be maintained, even as far as raising the quantity in the near future.
Head of RRI – Indonesian Republic Radio – of Singaraja, I Gusti Agung Made Suamba said that the member for Creative Festival were not came from Buleleng only but also from Denpasar, Tabanan, Bangli and Gianyar. They enthusiastically participated in that two weeks activity up to its final day on Sunday.
At the night of creation dance performance as well as local creation, those youth representatives performed their maximum performance and stunned the viewers who filled Wantilan RRI which act as the performance stage.
