The Launching of SMK Giri Pendawa
First stone laying of Vocational School (SMK) Giri Pendawa in Karangasem Regency is being an effort to give high quality education that aiming to result smart students. The chairman of Vocational School Giri Pendawa I Foundation Ketut Sudana MSi said the first stone laying of vocational school building held by Rendang District Headman Anak Agung Gede Surya Jaya.
He said Vocational School location is strategic enough as it placed in Nongan village, Rendang sub district amongst rural atmosphere. further it wished can comfort the students for their education process. “We are opening the program of hotelier and computer and network. Now we had received students in the school year of 2011/2012 for 124 persons,” said Mr Sudana who accompanied by the headmaster of SMK Ngakan Putu Murtika. He said the students had followed learning process in temporary building owned by nearby school.
“The students are coming from surrounding areas of Rendang and Selat sub district but we are surely receiving students from other sub districts,” said the headmaster of SMK Giri Pendawa Ngakan Putu Murtika. He said this SMK built base on any considerations. One of them is giving easiness to the poor students in surrounding area so they should not look for school in other area. “It is being our consideration to build this school,” said him. His side is keeping their hard work to support poor students such as scholarship for them.
He said this school location got under the cooperation with local people while the development of new classroom got the aid of SMK Development Directorate from Education and Cultural Ministry Indonesia. In the other side Gede Puspa, the owner of SMK Giri Pendawa land was happy he can cooperate with others to develop education sector. “We are happy with this vocational school and we hoped it can develop this village in the future,” said him.
