Barongsai is the sign of bad luck repellent and a pray for prosperity and a better life. Further CNY is coming with Siwaratri night as it is a great moment to contemplate. He also said Barongsai is a sign to repel bad luck and begging for prosperity. Furthermore it is a great moment to change ourselves to be better. It can start by our leaders so they can be a good example for their people.

CNY also hoped to tight solidarity between other religions to create peaceful life. In the other side same activities also appeared in Cao Fuk Mio Temple on Kargo Taman Street, Denpasar. The huge lanterns had set up while old lanterns also had replaced with the new ones to give a new hope and illuminate the Buddhists. Gods and Goddess statues also had cleaned up. The traffic closure to Kuta Beach are through Sunset Road – Raya Kerobokan then Sunset Road – Mertanadi, Sunset Road – Kunti Road, Sunset Road – Nakula Road. Some of them will be closed and directed to Seminyak Kuta. Meanwhile, Patih Jelantik Road – Legian will be closed to the Ground Zero, Dewa Ruci cross road closed and diverted to Setiabudi Road and traffic light Kuta closed and reroute to Kuta.

“Yesterday, we gave brochures to people according this traffic closing. We also enforce 157 polices officers for safeguards,” he explained.

Before closing the road at 04.00 pm, he explained that Denpasar Police Officer will cleaning the parking area starting from Legian Raya Street, Kuta Beach Street, Melasti Street, Dewi Sartika Street and Singosari Street.

President hopes that the 19th ASEAN summit will give birth to Bali Concord III, which able to mapping over a future road for ASEAN community to interact with nations’ global community.

“It precisely in harmony with ASEAN cooperation tradition. All this time we always open ourselves against outside world for instance, ASEAN dialog mechanism with our partner and in strategic forum as in ARF,” president said.

The massive ngaben coordinated by Banjar Tohpati will involve all local people and will be held on Indonesia Independence Day, August 17th 2011. Meanwhile, for kite competition coordinated by Banjar Biaung will involves most of local youngsters there.

This kite competition is the fourth conducted and open for public. Current registration showed that at least there are 600 participants will follow the competition. Until the due date on August 20th hope that number of participants will keep increasing.

“This activity also part of their effort to promote Kesiman Kertalangu village who also has beach view no less beautiful than other beaches in Bali,” Bima proudly said.

Meanwhile, Denpasar mayor, IB Rai D. Mantra said that in regard with massive Ngaben, it could ease the burden of our people and at the same time preserves our culture. Furthermore, for the kite competition I hope the committee could prepare the place for it not becoming too dirty.

“We’ve gathered 14 chess players who are ready to competes at the competition. They are now in the middle of TC,” said head of Denpasar Percasi, Putu Gede Mahaputra.

He mentioned that his party needed to move fast preparing those chess player in order to face over biennial agenda held in Jembrana.

The fourteenth chess player are Sebastian Simanjuntak, Agus Suboro, Bayu Suharjito, Pasek udarsa, Bambang Sampurno, Anang Purnomo and Lila Supali in male group. Then, there are Ulfa Agustiningrum, Hana Apriliana, Devi Noviantari, Wahyu Sarida, Al Mukaromah and Widya in female group.

According to Mahaputra, although they already have necessary team still his party could not determine which game they will follow. “We don’t know yet which athlete will participate in rapid chess, how many will be in classic chess and else. We still waiting for announcement from executive committee for this Bali provincial week of sport,” Mahaputra said whilst accompanied by his Public Relationship division officer, Dewa Gede Rai.

Nevertheless, his party has stated their keenness for number of chess player participates in this competition. In relation with the rival strength in that competition, Mahaputra confessed that he still observing it.

“Principally, we aware of all athletes from all regencies, I believe all of them are strong such as Badung and the host for this competition, Jembrana as they will fight in their own homeland,” he said.

The best achievement received by Denpasar Chess Player was at Bali Porprov 2007 in Klungkung Regenc. This capital city came out as the first winner and received 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze.

“We hoped we can repeat that achievement again, even as far as exceeding the target with 4 golden medals. With our chess players harmony and discipline in training, we are optimist we can reach our goal,” Mahaputra said.
